Thanks, Emmanuel Daniel (ED) for taking his time amidst his tight schedule to meet online and share with us his views and thoughts. The revolution of finance forms the basis and foundation of digital services that are now being invented and created. All users who want to participate in the Metaverse have to own some cryptocurrencies and digital wallets for transactions, otherwise one can only be an audience and bystander. 

When asked about the volatility of digital currencies and their link to network societies, he reiterated that their value fluctuation is irrelevant to their use and purpose. They remain to serve those purposes regardless of their value in dollars.

When asked by Swee Kim how the senior generation could partake and keep abreast of this personalization of the finance process and keep up-to-date. ED answer was cryptic, think of an intermediary, if there is one, he can be done away with. Keep removing them we will be fine. 

Do we need some guidelines, policies, or organization to buildings and arrange them in a certain beneficial form? He did not see that those rules in the real world would be exactly those played out in the Metaverse. In fact, some rules may be discouraging the growth of the Metaverse. 

He too holds the view that the digital world has to transform from a 2D to a 3D form. We as urban designers are in a good position to partake in the design and conceptualization of the metaverse. We should see more Metaverses such as Decentraland and Sandbox.
